Terry Gross’ interview with Patti Smith is excellent, especially the stuff early on where she’s just talking about the beginning of her friendship with the late Robert Mapplethorpe. The story about Mapplethorpe rescuing her from a bad date with a creepy science fiction writer is golden.

It’s a cruel twist of Biological fate that the early indicator symptoms for pregnancy are the same as the one day before your period starts PMS symptoms. Someone remind me invest in “IUD failure rate” and “Do antibiotics effect my IUD?” Google Ad words.

Dan Moren had it right: typing is the key*. A tablet computer must get text entry right to win the hearts of the people.
The iPhone had a unique problem to solve: how to convey lots of information in a tiny screen. And it solved the problem in a unique way, giving us multitouch to take the tiny screen’s tiny real estate and slide around in it....
